Our Story (So Far…)
In 2017 Hunter and Kristen were introduced through her Maid of Honor, Ana, at their joint 24th Birthday Party in Dallas.
The theme was 24 Karat Magic, and Hunter knew right away Kristen was made of pure gold. But, they didn’t start dating right away or even soon after, much to his chagrin.
After several years of Hunter going to every event Ana & Kristen mentioned just to talk to her, they built a friendship (including a little subtle flirtation), and with some help from Ana’s now husband, Ryan, Hunter & Kristen finally started dating in 2020 and quickly became inseparable.
Since then, they have moved across the Country together to Los Angeles, and are excited to keep building their life and family throughout the rest of their lives together.
“2020 had exactly one good part - you.”
-Hunter
The Proposal
“Wait are you f*cking Serious right now?!?!”
-Kristen, after Hunter got on one knee and pulled out the ring
Shortly after Hunter & Kristen went ring shopping, they were planning a trip to Australia where Hunter had Kristen’s friends convince her the engagement may happen. But, that was just a ruse.
He knew that they wanted to celebrate surrounded by friends and family, so he used that cover to plan a surprise during Easter Brunch at Lakeside Country Club.
With help from Kristen’s Parents, Patty & Phil; her Uncle George; and several others, Hunter was able to catch Kristen completely unsuspecting. He dropped to one knee & pulled out the ring while taking pictures before brunch where the couple was promptly joined by his Mom & Stepdad, Janet & Jim, to celebrate over food & drinks.
To make sure our Los Angeles friends and Hunter’s dad, Brian, could celebrate as well, Hunter also arranged a surprise Engagement Party at the Rosenthal Winery Tasting Room, where the couple have been members since they reached LA.
But, there was one last piece of the surprise. Before getting on PCH to head up the Coast, Hunter “stopped to pick something up” which turned out to be Kristen’s best friend, Ana, who had secretly flown in the night before to make sure she didn’t miss the celebration.
